Week 15 - The Final Chapter!


Gosh, can it be the last week? I thank you all for a great semester. I had a great time teaching you physical science through activities, information, resources on the web and through talking with you.

I wish you well this week as you present your bellringers and beyond as you pursue your education programs. And, I look forward to seeing you, again in Scence Methods.

Week 12



Welcome back from Easter Break. This week we will be talking about static and current electricity, applying what we learn to a series of explorations and activities. On Thursday we will construct series and parallel circuits, talk more about Ohm's law and cells. Be sure to read your chapter before Thursday. If time, we will begin our discussion of magnetism.

Question 9 How are magnetism and electricity similar and different? Be specific and give examples. – blog about this.

Week 11


Hi Everyone,
I look forward to a great week talking about heat and temperature, heat transfer and the activities that model these ideas. We will have the quiz over Ch 5-7 so be sure to complete your reading guide. The quiz will be open on Tuesday and will close on Thursday. We will also do the take-home lab on circuits in class instead, since the quiz is happening his week.

QUESTION 8: What is the difference between electric current and voltage? Be specific and give examples.

Week 5

Hi Everyone,
This week we will be talking about momentum, gravitational motion and projectile motion. Please read chapters 3 and 4 and begin to work on your reading guide. We will talk about midterm projects due March 16,18 and construct a rubric together on Thursday. Next week you have an online assignment for Tuesday. Class on Tuesday only will be ONLINE. Thursday we will meet face to face.

This week we will be reviewing more of Newton's Laws, going over the Reading Guide -- Prologue, Ch 1, 2 Due to Dropbox by Thursday at midnight. Your quiz will be open. on Wednesday and close at midnight on Thursday in D2L. We will also talk about the midterm projects and have a workday on Thursday for it. Hi All,

Welcome to week 3. Be sure to be reading Chapters Prologue, 1 and 2 in your textbook. Also, complete the reading guide by next week's quiz. Be sure to compare as many types of motion as possible - constant velocity, acceleration, positive and negative motions and directions, for example. Post this by Friday along with your descriptions of our class activities. Be sure to answer your weekly question from the syllabus on the blog.
